THREADWELL · CLEAR TERMS FOR USING THREADWELL.
Terms of Service
These terms explain how you may use Threadwell, how individual Pro subscriptions work, and where to get help.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service apply to the Threadwell extension and related Threadwell account services provided by Threadwell.app (“Threadwell,” “we,” or “us”). By installing or using Threadwell, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Threadwell. If you already have a paid subscription, cancel it separately as described below.
Threadwell helps you organize ChatGPT conversation and project shortcuts. It is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI. Threadwell does not include a ChatGPT subscription or change your OpenAI plan. Your use of ChatGPT and other third-party services remains subject to their own terms and access permissions.
Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@threadwell.app.
2. Permission to use Threadwell
While you comply with these terms, you may install and use Threadwell on computers you control for your own personal or work-related organization. This is a limited, non-exclusive permission to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of Threadwell, its branding, or its code.
The current Pro plans are individual subscriptions. Do not share a paid account for use by other people, resell access, or redistribute Threadwell as your own product without permission. These restrictions do not override rights granted by applicable law or a separate license for a third-party component.
Use Threadwell only with accounts and information you are authorized to access. Do not use it for unlawful activity, interfere with other users or services, bypass payment or access controls, defeat request limits, or attempt to obtain someone else’s credentials or data.
3. Your account
Core Free organization features can be used without a Threadwell account. Paid Pro access requires sign-in and verification of an eligible subscription. Use an email address you control, keep your sign-in codes private, and protect the computer and browser profile where you use Threadwell. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access.
Threadwell accounts and ChatGPT accounts are separate. Signing in to a different Threadwell account does not create a separate local organizer. Use separate Chrome profiles when you need separate local collections.
4. Pro subscriptions and payments
The current individual Pro prices are US$2 per month or US$18 per year, plus applicable tax. The yearly plan is charged in one annual payment. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or yearly price, plus applicable tax, until canceled. Review the amount, currency, tax, billing period, and recurring terms shown at checkout before completing a purchase.
Payments use Stripe Managed Payments, with Sold through Link, LLC as merchant of record. Threadwell provides the extension and account features. The applicable Link customer terms govern Link’s services.
The Billing & refunds page forms part of these terms and explains the current plans, payment process, cancellation method, and refund policy. Your purchase does not grant access to unannounced future products, business seat plans, or a separate desktop application.
5. Cancellation and refunds
To stop future renewals, open Threadwell Settings and backup → Open Threadwell account → Manage subscription, then cancel in the billing portal before the next renewal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; Pro remains available until then, subject to payment and account verification. Return to Threadwell and choose Refresh subscription to update the displayed status.
Signing out, uninstalling the extension, or deleting your Threadwell account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through the billing portal, or arrange cancellation through Sold through Link support, before requesting account deletion.
Cancellation alone does not issue a refund. Refund requests follow the Sold through Link refund policy and applicable consumer protections. Threadwell offers no additional voluntary money-back guarantee. Contact Sold through Link support for payment or refund assistance; contact Threadwell for product or account-access help.
6. Pro verification and service availability
Pro requires periodic online account and payment verification. Expired paid coverage, a failed verification, a full refund of the current paid period, or an unresolved or lost payment dispute can prevent Pro access. If your paid access looks wrong, use Refresh subscription or contact contact@threadwell.app.
Losing Pro does not itself erase your local folders, shortcuts, or saved Pro settings. Free organization remains available, while editing Pro metadata and using Pro tools require verified access. Automatic schedules disabled when access changes must be enabled again after Pro is restored.
Threadwell depends on Chrome, ChatGPT, network access, and external account and payment services. Changes or outages in those services may interrupt features. Threadwell does not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent compatibility, or offline Pro verification. These practical limitations do not remove any rights or remedies you have under applicable law.
7. Your collection and privacy
Using Threadwell does not transfer your rights in your content to us. The Privacy policy explains what information Threadwell processes, where it is stored, and how to request deletion.
Your organizer is stored in your Chrome profile. Threadwell sign-in does not upload your organizer to its account service. Optional Chrome Sync and exported backup files are separate. Threadwell backups preserve organization and metadata, not conversation contents; the conversations remain in ChatGPT.
Keep copies of information important to you. Removing the extension or clearing its browser storage can delete local organization. Account deletion does not remove local data, exported files, Chrome Sync data, or all payment-provider records. See the Privacy policy for the separate deletion steps.
8. Ending use and resolving problems
You can stop using Threadwell at any time. Cancel a paid subscription separately if you want recurring charges to stop. For Threadwell account deletion, email contact@threadwell.app; we need to verify the account owner.
We may restrict account access where necessary to address fraud, unauthorized access, unlawful use, or a material breach of these terms. Such a restriction does not remove applicable consumer rights or replace the payment provider’s cancellation and refund procedures. If you believe access was restricted incorrectly, contact us for review.
For product, account, or privacy questions, visit Support. For transaction questions, use Sold through Link support. Contacting support does not limit your statutory rights or other available remedies.
9. Changes and your rights
Revised terms will show an updated date on this page. Where applicable law requires notice or consent for a change, those requirements apply. A revision does not retroactively change the terms of a completed purchase or take away rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer protections, statutory guarantees, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
